I've gone through the past few years of my makeup and cosmetic enthusiasm trying, usually loving and testing all kinds of products, and I find myself reading about new products weekly, but I've found an all time favourite and I'm quite sure nothing can beat it. I'm sure you've all heard about it before as it's one of the most revered of all luxury foundations; Make Up For Ever HD Foundation.


My shade is 120 (Soft Sand)

It's so incredibly difficult to gain access to any Make Up For Ever products in Australia, I believe there's a specialty beauty store in Sydney that sells some MUFE but apart from that it's pretty much impossible apart from online. Of course I could purchase it online or on ebay or another website, but they have such an extensive (and impressive!) shade range that getting it wrong would be very easy to do, I would never have guessed that I was the 6th shade, considering I'm used to being the second or third shade in most foundations.

MUFE HD Foundation utilises the top ingredients and is among the best of the very best. It has a water and silicone base that has a creamy fluid texture with a good amount of slip and blends like silk. MUFE uses the best available pigment technology to blur imperfections and improve the skins overall tone without looking or feeling like a mask. It has medium to full coverage depending on your method of application and the amount of layers you have (you only really need to apply it once over), and has a natural matte finish that looks extremely skin like. The purpose of MUFE HD Foundation is for on camera use (and is suitable to do so), it's a cult favourite of celebrities including Kourtney Kardashian (who I love!) but is also perfectly suitable for everyday wear, it's been my everyday foundation for the past two months since I bought it (at a very fancy location!) at the Sephora store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. This is my first (and unfortunately last for a long time until I venture to America) ever Sephora purchase and I have to say, that store is absolute HEAVEN. I believe it cost roughly 39 Euros.

I am absolutely addicted to this foundation, it really is my absolute favourite and I honestly doubt nothing can compare, it even surpasses my other cult favourite; M.A.C Studio Sculpt Foundation. I apply it with a flat top foundation brush (mine is part of my 22 piece set from Coastal Scents) to give the best HD finish.

As you can see MUFE HD Foundation gives my skin tone a beautiful even colour, masks my redness and blemishes, gives me great coverage and a healthy glow, all while looking natural and skin identical. It doesn't cling to dry patches or accentuate fine lines or oily areas. This foundation lasts all day and I only have to powder once or possibly twice on oily days.

I would highly highly recommend this foundation as a bit of a splash out and luxury buy to anyone who's looking for an amazing product that you'll grow to love as part of your makeup collection. 

In the recent issue of Cosmopolitan Australia (the cover with Kim Kardashian!) they gave out a small sample of the new L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Foundation, said to give you a lit from within glow! 

On areas of my face where I felt like I really needed a little bit more light I added some of my M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer in NW15 to bring some dimension to my skin too. I got a voucher from Priceline for $10 off Lumi Magique Foundation so if I can find that this will definitely be a dry skin staple for me!
